The burial rites for late Super Eagles chief coach, Stephen Keshi, commences .
The rites began today in Benin City, Edo State with a church service at St Paul Catholic Church. His remains will soon be moved to the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, where a novelty match organized by his former teammates, will be staged in his honour . . Afterwards, his corpse will depart for Asaba, Delta State, where former Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, will recieve him at the stadium named after him. His body will then leave for his country home, Illah, where the Obi of Illah, His Royal Highness Obi Gbemudu with his high chiefs will recieve him. . . Thereafter, a requiem mass will hold at St John Catholic Church before his remains will be moved to his residence for an hour-long lying-in-state, followed by an internment at the same venue.

Allardyce Named New England Manager
The 61-year-old has fought off competition from Steve Bruce and Jurgen Klinsmann to take over the Three Lions reins following Roy Hodgson's resignation after Euro 2016
Sam Allardyce has been named England manager, the FA have confirmed.
The 61-year-old has taken over the Three Lions reins following Roy Hodgson's resignation on the back of the national team's Euro 2016 exit at the hands of Iceland.
Allardyce fought off competition from Hull City boss Steve Bruce and United States manager Jurgen Klinsmann to take charge of the England national team.

Buhari: Only Athletes Can Go To Rio Olympics
President Muhammadu Buhari has directed that anybody who does not have any business in the Rio 2016 Games should not be part of the contingent.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youth ad Sports, Chinyeaka Ohaa, made the disclosure on Thursday when he appeared before the House of Representatives Committee on Sports to brief it on the country’s Olympics preparation.
Ohaa said that paucity of fund for the Games necessitated the presidential directive on the account of the government list.

Emeka Ike moves to stop wife's divorce, drags case to High Court
Emeka Ike has informed a Lagos Island Customary Court that he had filed an application before a High Court restraining the lower court from hearing the divorce suit filed by his estranged wife of 16 years, Emma. She filed the suit on grounds of incessant battery, an allegation which Emeka denied.
When the matter which was slated for judgment came up today, Emeka’s lawyer, informed the court that his client had filed a stay of proceedings before a High Court in Lagos.

Referee Who Officiated Copa America Final Partied With Prostitutes After Match (Photos)
The referee who officiated in the Copa America final between Argentina and Chile -has come under a scandalous spotlight after allegedly celebrating his participation in the football event with two prostitutes.. Having drawn so much attention during the final with a total of nine bookings, reports are now claiming that Lopes partied with two prostitutes after the football match. A footage purporting to show Lopes with the ladies has been leaked out online. It’s unclear where the video came from.
