Eagles Crash Out Of CHAN.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have crashed out of the CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) in the group stage after suffering a lone goal defeat to the Syli Stars of Guinea. Ibrahima Sankhon scored the only goal of the encounter on the stroke of half time, ensuring that the Guineans moved up the table onto second place with five points, while Tunisia ascended to the top of the log with an emphatic 5-0 victory Niger Republic. It was a lacklustre performance in the first half of the game by the Super Eagles, and all efforts by second-half substitutes Chisom Chikatara and Bright Onyedikachi to force the equaliser proved abortive.

Tunisia finished top of the group with five points and a superior goal difference to Guinea, while the Eagles finished third with four points.
Zambia currently top Group D and are already through to the quarterfinal as they play Mali, who are currently second on the table.
